Homemade Iced Chai Tea Latte Recipe

This homemade iced chai tea latte by Registered Dietician Lauren ( is a great alternative to coffee. Mix together a blend of spices with iced tea, pour in your milk of choice, and done! Check out the recipe below:


  1. 2 cups iced tea

  2. 1 cup milk of choice

  3. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  4. 1/8 tsp ground turmeric

  5. 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

  6. 1/8 tsp ground cardamom

  7. 1/8 tsp ground cloves

  8. 2 tsp sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, sugar)

  9. ice cubes


  1. Combine spices and milk in a bowl, tall glass, or mason jar.

  2. Using a milk frother, mix until combined.  You can also use a whisk or shake the mason jar.

  3. Fill a 16-oz glass with ice cubes.  Pour iced tea over ice.

  4. Pour spiced milk mixture into glass with tea.

  5. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.  Enjoy!


  1. If you want to save some for later, omit the ice to prevent it from getting watered down.

  2. Feel free to tweak the spices and their amounts based on your taste preferences!

  3. Store-bought black iced tea works great if you don’t want to make your own.
